Gunda Keri Pickle

A pickle which is enormously popular amongst Gujaratis since ages. Gunda is a type of berry which needs to be deseeded and stuffed with grated raw mango along with spices like split mustard and fenugreek seeds, chilli powder, salt, asafoetida and turmeric powder. It also contains pieces of raw mango. Making this traditional pickle involves a lengthy and painful process, but once its ready the reward is superlative. It is savoury and has a hint of spice.

Ingredients

Gunda (Gum Berry) (32%), Raw Mango, Sunflower Oil, Mustard Seeds, Iodised Salt, Chilli Powder, Fenugreek Seeds, Turmeric Powder, Asafoetida, Contains Class II Preservatives (INS211).

Storage Instructions

1. Store in a cool and dry place.
2. Maintain a layer of oil on top.
3. Do not use wet spoon.
4. Preferably refrigerate after opening.

Shelf Life

12 months from the date of packaging.
